TATTOING ON THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS.

It all begins with an idea. In the summer of 2021, Urban Cowboy approached his team with just an idea. He wanted to pursue tattooing a client on top of the Rocky Mountains. After a month of planning and preparation, that idea became a reality. Cowboy and his team boarded a flight to Colorado to meet his client Michael, for the first time.

Within hours of meeting, the two of them began designing the tattoo. Not even 24 hours later, his needle was touching skin. But this wasn’t achieved without several obstacles.

The team was set to begin their hike at 8am, but due to transportation issues they hadn’t began the hike until close to 2pm. After three hours of hiking they set up an established studio inside a small tent to insure a sanitary work environment. After all the planning, Cowboy forgot to pack himself chair for the long session ahead. He ended up tattooing several hours while sitting on two rocks stacked on top of one another. After completing the tattoo, Cowboy and his team made the hike back down in the complete dark and arrived at the vehicle shortly before midnight.

This trip gained traction on the internet and landed Urban Cowboy an article in the Tribune Chronicle, which you can read here.
